Sweet Tooth

I have a sweet tooth that cannot be tamed.  Any sweet treat is great, but my palette prefers homemade goodies.  This weekend we made some Christmas cookies.  They say you are what you eat.  The pictures below I think accurately describe the culinary artist.

Molly:  Simple but Elegant
(Hey, I'm the blogger here.  I can describe myself however I want:))

 Teeyl:  Quality over Quantity

Hesston:  A bit Overzealous

Cooper:  Thoughtful and Methodical

Kristin:  A Blank Canvas?  Party-Pooper?  She was probably helping everyone else, so we'll go with "Self-less"

The final product.  This should satisfy the cravings of any sweet tooth.

Final Ramblings:
This time next week I'll have a diploma in my hand for my Master's Degree.
A proud accomplishment, but not quite as impressive as my Spelling Bee title.

How to Make a New Friend

Saw my favorite little girls this weekend and got some wonderful advice from Sara.  We were talking about making new friends and I said it was hard to make new friends.  She very simply explained to me that all you have to do is make them a friendship bracelet and they will "be your BFF".  Apparently this is how she won over cousin Teeyl:)  I sure do love those little girls and have so much to learn from them.

Who wouldn't take advice from this group?

The following quote I think accurately describe our wonderful family:
Other things may change us, but we start and end with the family.  Anthony Brandt

Smells Like Teen Spirit

Last week was Homecoming at School
Students and Teachers all Showed their School Spirit

I Present to you the Self-Declared Mathletes of Maywood High School
AKA, The Smart Kids

What Have We Learned Today
While all classes have their shining moments, my "Mathletes" are a bright spot in my day
Not many kids enjoy a 10 min conversation about the conversion of rectangular to polar coordinates
The "Mathletes" are thinking of making shirts
So far they have, "If Math was easy, it'd be your mom"
I think it's hilarious, but not sure it's appropriate for a school :)

Hot for Teacher

How many people are lucky enough to have a husband as wonderful as mine?
Ok, maybe some people are as lucky as me.
But, how many people have a husband as handsome as mine?
Very few:)

What Have We Learned Today:
Marriage really is all it's cracked up to be.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder:  Behold my beautiful husband:)
PS I'm keeping my name...for now.  Our little secret.  Husbands don't have to know everything.

Adulthood vs. Age

In Elementary School, I Assumed High School was the Entry to Adulthood.

Got to High School and Soon Realized I was Definitely not an Adult.  Maybe College Students are Adults.

College Students are NOT Adults.

A Bank would only Give a Home Loan to an Adult...Right?

Wrong.

Married People are OLD.  They have to be Adults.

I AM NOT old...Adulthood is a Long Ways Off.

What Have We Learned Today:
Age and adulthood are not mutually exclusive
You're only as old as you feel
Some people ain't ever gonna be grown ups
